The keynote speaker this year was Jane Shadel Spillman (right) Curator of American Glass at the Corning Museum of Glass. Her presentation was entitled “For Milady’s Dressing Table: Scent Bottles and Dresser Sets from 1800 to 1920.” and covered American and English bottles from that time period.
The Monsen & Baer auction highlighted Friday evening, with a great number of buyers from the general public in attendance. There were some bargains on some bottles, and some very spirited bidding on others.
As usual, the auctioneer, Michael Defina offered his own brand of entertainment while expertly selling off over 450 lots in record time!
